Decatur Adventist Junior Academy is the place where education fosters dreams and a place where children are guided to align with the concept of unlimited possibilities. It is a place where children are given the opportunity to experience learning with loving teachers in a safe and nurturing environment. This enables our children to experience the love of God in a tangible way.
The mission of our school is centered around a relentless focus on the overall development of the whole individual. Our objective is to hone the mental, physical, spiritual, and social faculties of each child through love for God and humanity. This, along with academic achievement will prepare them to be the architects of the global marketplace, a thriving society, and citizens of eternity.

The field trips, Christmas programs, and choir singing engagements will always bring a sense of joy and fond memories. Above all, DAJA has provided a venue where we feel we can respond to that all-important question that we all will be asked: “Where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?”

The memorable moments for us during our family’s 13 years at the school were the educational tours to Florida, New York City, Washington DC, the White House and Pentagon, Canada, Niagara Falls, Ohio, the creation Museum, Kentucky, Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania Amish Dutch country. These memories will forever be etched in our minds.
