DAJA Newsletter April 15 2022

DAJA EDUCATION DAY

All students are to arrive by 11:00 a.m. in Full Dress Uniform which includes blazers, ties, burgundy tights or knee highs for girls, black socks for males, and both are to wear black dress shoes.

We are also very excited that we will have our annual student baptism where 16 students will be baptized. We are asking all our students to attend to stand in support for their classmates and friends as they go down into the watery grave.

Baptismal candidates are to bring a towel, their full dress uniform, and flip flops. They are to wear jeans to the church, and t-shirts will be provided prior to baptism.

All students who are on the program must be on time.

Additionally, we invite you to a fellowship outing after Sabbath Worship.

Please see the flyer adjacent.

FAITH OF JESUS

To live thus by the word of God means the surrender to Him of the whole life. There will be felt a continual sense of need and dependence, a drawing out of the heart after God. Prayer is a necessity; for it is the life of the soul. Family prayer, public prayer, have their place; but it is secret communion with God that sustains the soul life.

It was in the mount with God that Moses beheld the pattern of that wonderful building which was to be the abiding place of His glory. It is in the mount with God—in the secret place of communion—that we are to contemplate His glorious ideal for humanity. Thus we shall be enabled so to fashion our character building that to us may be fulfilled His promise, “I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” 2 Corinthians 6:16. Education, Ellen G. White, Pg 259.

ALL THE WAY TO THE FINISH LINE

What an amazing time we had yesterday at our very first school track meet. Our students did a phenomenal job as they won several races in their specific categories. The meet took place at Arlington Christian School located at 4500 Ridge Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213. It was such a great opportunity for our students to interact with students from several schools and showed great sportsmanship.

MASK MANDATE

Dekalb County Schools have lifted requiring students to wear a mask in the classroom. However, if a parent would still like his/her child to wear a mask, they are free to do so. This being said, we will continue to provide masks until they run out, after which, parents are free to donate masks to his/her child’s class or to the school.

YEARBOOK, YEARBOOK, YEARBOOK

We are so excited to present our Yearbook for the 2021- 2022 school year, “The Faith of Jesus.” This year, parents are invited to purchase the yearbook at the early bird cost of $15 and will receive it as soon as it becomes available. We will mail it to you or you can come by during the summer to pick it up from the front office. We will only be printing 39 copies of the yearbook this year, so if you don’t want to miss out, you’ve got to act fast. The regular price of $20 will resume on May 16, 2022. The yearbook highlight’s all the great events that took place this school year and showcases many of the events which your student was a part of. So don’t lose these precious memories. TOY DRIVE

Today marks the end of our Toy Drive which has been a huge success. Our students gave selflessly by bringing a large variety of toys. We thank you so much parents for helping our students understand the joy of giving. The donated toys will be transferred to the American Kidney Service which will ensure that they go to children in crisis who need some joy of their own.
