Decatur Adventist Junior Academy features its well-known Educational Tour every school year. Our tour takes students in grades 6-8 to an educational attraction somewhere in the continental United State or Canada. In the past, we have gone to Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, New York City (where they were featured on the Good Morning America), Washington. DC and Birmingham, Alabama, to name a few. This year we are returning to Washington, DC where we are planning to visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Capitol building, the Smithsonian National Museum, the National African American Museum, the Air & Space Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and Ellen White Estates. We plan to leave November 4th and return on November 8th. The Educational Tour is designed to expose our students to places beyond the textbook and help them to have a real, hands-on experience of the world they live in.
